Dave Hunter and the Seven Hundred

The latest band from longtime Northeast songwriter and frontman Dave Hunter launched in 2025 with a foot firmly planted in both the past and future of amped-up Americana. Drawing on the AMA Charting legacy of his former band, The Molenes, Hunter is back with new songs, fresh energy, and a seasoned band of collaborators. With Chris Kelly (guitar, vocals), Steve Barlock (bass, vocals), and Joe Welsh (drums, vocals) rounding out the sound, the group has released several singles to date while finishing their debut album for release in July 2026. Meanwhile, their live shows continue to include several Molenes classics and nail the high points of some of the northeast’s most compelling and original twang-rock.
